YOUR MARRIAGE LICENSE:
About 2 or 3 weeks before your wedding date go
to the clerk of courts (at any town hall in Massachusetts)
to apply for your marriage license.
If your wedding is in Connecticut go to a clerk of courts (at any town hall) in Connecticut.
You both have to go when you apply and you will need identification. Call the clerk of courts ahead of time
to ask exactly what they need for identification. A few days after you apply you can pick up your license. On your wedding
day I will need your license before I can officiate your marriage. After your ceremony
I will file your license with the clerk of courts. In a week or two your marriage license should be ready for
you to pick up from where you applied.
Note: Please call before
you go.
